How do glow-in-the-dark luminous patches work, and do they require batteries?
No batteries are needed! Luminous patches use photoluminescent pigments that absorb and store energy from natural sunlight or indoor lamp light. When moved into the dark, the stored light energy is gradually released as a visible glow for hours.
How long do luminous patches stay bright, and how are they recharged?
After charging under daylight or strong indoor light for 10–15 minutes, the initial bright glow lasts for 30–60 minutes, followed by an ambient glow that remains visible to night-adapted eyes for 4–8 hours. They can be recharged endlessly without losing luminescence.
Are the photoluminescent materials safe and non-toxic?
Yes, absolutely. We use modern Strontium Aluminate pigments which are non-toxic, non-radioactive, lead-free, and skin-safe. They satisfy all US CPSIA and European EN71 safety regulations.
Which material is better for luminous patches: Soft PVC or Embroidered thread?
Soft PVC is ideal for tactical and outdoor use because glow powder is mixed directly into the liquid rubber, yielding intense glow, 100% waterproofing, and high durability. Luminous Embroidered Thread is better for textile clothing, hoodies, and beanies that require a traditional woven feel.
